Queer By Gum CIC proudly presents The Queer Variety Show! Join us for a vibrant medley of queer musicians, poets and performers as we celebrate Kendal Pride, upstairs at Ye Olde Fleece Inn.
On the bill…
- Persimmons – sensual and electrifying Jazz ensemble with neo-soul and RnB influences
- Viola Fey – punk and blues inspired sad girl harp, with a penchant for revolution
- The Weather Boys – drag king duo debut starring Vazmanian Devil and Michael Fish
- Ned Longdon – a verbal scratchcard. Match 3 numbers to win some tales of heart and home!
- Ash Bestos – Lancaster’s premier drag thing un-extraordinaire
- Thee Queen Swan – emerging from the country’s camp capital of Brum, Thee Queen Swan brings a ray of sunshine to wherever she performs
- Ash Quarmby – folk singer/songwriter with one of the most beautiful voices in Lancaster’s music scene
- Amelia Samhain – the sadgirl supreme brings her unique brand of emo to the stage with songs of love, loss and lamentations
Tickets are £2 but you’re encouraged to top up your ticket with a voluntary donation if you can.
Queer By Gum CIC is a local grassroots community project based in the North of England. Our aim is to organise creative workshops, community projects and safe spaces where the local LGBTQ+ community can connect, create and organise.
Our current projects include a weekly social, craft club, football club, and a monthly book club and coding club in Lancaster. Alongside this we organise a range of workshops and events, collaborating with other local organisations, community groups and art collectives.
