Archipelago is an exhibition which celebrates both uniqueness and togetherness. Named after the landscape formation, an archipelago is a chain of islands which each have a distinct character yet are also a collective; just as Pride is a celebration of individuality and community.

This exhibition brings together a diverse mix of people and practices, from textile art and zine-making, to photography and creative writing.

Our commissioned artists this year are Astrid Mohr and Hana Bassett:

In their piece, Astrid (they/them) has used quilting, a technique with a powerful connection to LGBTQ+ history, to express their relationship to their queer identity.

Combining both textile art and printmaking, Hana (she/they) explores the gift of queerness and how it allows us to deeply connect with the natural world.
