Pride Hike on Scout Scar

Join us for a lovely morning walk up to Scout Scar, returning to Kendal in time for the Pride Procession.
A 10km/6 mile walk, starting at Sizergh Castle and walking up, along and down the beautiful hill of Scout Scar with its amazing views (hopefully) to arrive in time to join the procession at the Birdcage in Kendal at 11:45am.
A mix of terrain from off-road footpaths on gradients in a limestone environment to footpaths by roads for the last mile of so into town.
Some local LGBTQ+ history from the guide, more info welcome from others on walk if you have any to share.
What to Bring
Be prepared to bring full waterproofs for wet conditions or sunscreen and hat for fine weather.
Suitable hiking footwear, water and snacks.
Recommended for ages 10 and up.
Where to Meet
Meet at Kendal Bus station at 8:30 to get the bus to Sizergh Castle or meet us at 9.30am at Sizergh Castle.
(if you get the bus and keep hold of your ticket you can get a free cuppa at the Castle cafe)
